HFT.Area

The facilities of HFT Stuttgart have so far only been visited by urban society to a limited extent and perceived as a unit. The campus should therefore become spatially recognizable and visible as a whole for outsiders as well as university members.

In particular, the project aims to better address and connect the main building with the public space - the city garden (Stadtgarten), street areas and the inner courtyard between Buildings 1 and 3.

New exhibition formats and communication channels must be created in order to enter into a direct exchange with the public. The actions in the HFT.Venueand HFT.Space are important components here. They create the basis for an exchange on innovation topics with existing and future cooperation partners from industry, urban society and other external research institutions.

Topics

  • Creation of an identity-forming, inner and outer unity of the campus
  • Development of a holistic campus guidance system
  • Reflection of the keywords "climate-competent" and "networked" through green and invigorated outdoor areas
  • Research topics are made visible through experimental and innovative constructions and event formats
  • Permanent public exhibition of student works and research results on the campus area
  • Improving perception, orientation and communication through uniform elements
